THE HEART OF A TEEN

Someone once said a teenagers heart is like a doughnut, when i heard this i was amazed. Looking at it closely what is the one common physical property of a doughnut? Well, I think that should be the hole in the doughnut. How is that related to a teenagers heart? Taking a close look at a teenagers life, one will find out that they become attracted to their opposite sex. This is as a result of the little space in their heart that i call a 'doughnuts's hole'. Well, i know many of us don't like to read articles so i'll make this a rather short one. In summary, every teenager is looking for someone who will fill the space in their hearts, thats why we teenagers go around looking for boyfriends and girlfriends. There is one truth that most teenagers fail to realize. There is only one person that can fill that space in your heart if only you will allow him, his name is Jesus. Now wait!!!! don't try to leave this page. I'm not a pastor neither do i aspire to be one and i'm also not writing this to spoil your day but this is an experience i just want teenagers to have. Jesus is saying 'Try me and see'. I promise you, you will have no regret. Its an experience i and many other teenagers have passed though with lots of testimonies. So, the next time you think of getting in the middle of that girl's legs...think it through and the next time you think of following thet guy, think it through also. All you need to do to accept Jesus is to ask for forgiveness and ask him to come into your life. You dont't need to answer an allter call to be saved, just come to his throne of grace and you will obtain mercy.
                            Thank you for reading.

Dealing with peer pressure...

These two words are not new to us teenagers and its really annoying talking about it. Yeah. But its the truth, you know what I’m talking about. Now wait! I’m not writing this to just to leave some bunch of guys, or to bring yourself down among your peers, or to act like an “SU” just to be a changed teenager. Thank God it’s not an adult that is writing this, you know, they could be old school and they could be so unreal. But we are rubbing minds together as teenagers on how to overcome peer pressure. The best option will definitely not be to turn down the requests of some bunch of bad guys, if you don’t want to hurt your back. Then you ask “what is the best way to handle it?” The first step to take is to know who you are (integrity). This is very important. You say “I wanna be known/be/live like a Christian”, fine! Then you just have to stick to it no matter what happens. Though it’s not easy anyway, and that’s the more reason you needs Gods help in your life. The next step is to try and make friends with like minds with you and that will add value to your life. It is better to make the first impression of you known, that way it will be easier dealing with peer pressure. (First impression matters!). When people already know what you stand for, they won’t bother wasting time on you. Though this might be very annoying as you might or ‘will’ receive a lot of embarrassments, just remember ‘INTEGRITY’.
If you have given in to peer pressure and you are probably asking ‘how do I get out of it?’ you know, the truth is very bitter, but there is no point beating around the bush. You might squeeze you face, but if you really want to move forward, you have to face the truth and the truth is that there is no other way out than to involve God through Jesus, his son. I know how you are feeling right now but just determine in your heart that you want to leave those behaviours. If you do it yourself, you find that you go back to those behaviours and it even becomes worse than before. If you do it yourself, you might also get into trouble, but God knows how he works everything together for your good. If you want to accept Jesus, just say the short prayers below this article from your heart.
Perhaps, you fall into the category of those that put pressure on others. The truth is, whether you like it or not, you cannot continue like that. Why not give it up now instead of having to face the consequences in a hard way. What you sow, you shall surely reap. Now wait! I didn’t write this to judge you because I understand some of you hate hearing these things because they are always judging you, just like I once thought. It’s not like that but it’s the truth. Bitter!
If you want to accept Jesus, say this short prayer from your heart:
Dear God, I have heard about you and I thank you for loving me in spite of my many sins and weaknesses. I believe that you died and rose again to save me. I repent of my sins and forsake them. I will live to please you as your Holy Spirit helps me. I receive you into my heart and I ask that you make me yours forever. Help me to be your friend and may we love and honour each other for all eternity. Thank you for accepting me. I have prayed in Jesus name. Amen.
It’s an experience you will never regret in your whole life, I’ve gone through it and I’m a living testimony. Take this step and you will be blessed in Jesus name. Amen

Taking Control of your Night

Many people fail in life because they have not learnt to take control of their nights. They allow their nights to spoil their day.

Night signifies darkness, confusion, obscurity, limitations, lack of ctrenght and weakness. It is also a symbol of evil.

The night is also a time to make great desicions Gen 31: 24. The evil doers also recognise this, as a result most of their evil desicions to bring down people is usually taken in the night.

If one does not learn to control his/her night, that fellow will make it easy for the evil ones to manipulate him/her life. This is what gives rise to many problems that many individuals have.

HOW DO I CONTROL MY NIGHT

- You need the fire of the Holy Ghost: When you carry the fire of the Holy Sprit it makes you more spiritually stronger thereby making you spirit man to be more active and agressive. This enables your spirit man refuse any any act of evil even when your physical senses are inactive. Many have taken what is not theirs from the enemy because their spiritman is not strong enough to stand even when the enemy the enemy shouts.

- The blood of Jesus Hebrews 12:24: The blood of Jesus is an insurance cover, it is also a cleansing agent. Without the blood, there is no redemption. Apart from the work of cleansing, another work the blood performs which helps us to take control of our night is the work of attack. The blood carries power.

- PRAYERS: Prayer is a very dangerous weappon of warfare; with prayer, there is no limit to where we can get to in God's presence. Prayer is a key which God has given us to attack the enemy but Jesus is the key. The Bible says that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are saved.

-LOAD YOUR CLOUDS i.e. SOW SEEDS: It is important that we sow seeds to God, they can go a long way to challenge Him to do great and mighty things in our Lifes.

-RUN WITH YOUR DREAMS: Don't let any one tell you that you cannot be succesful in life. Hold on tight to your dreams and don't let any one or anything steal it from you.

Do you have a large heart? - 2

Again, in this part, we take a look at a man who had a large heart in the Bible. His name was Elisha. I would not be going into details of this story but you can read it up in 2 Kings 6:22-23. Elisha was uncommon and had a large heart. No wonder God gave him a distinguished place in human and divine history. The same awaits you as you seek work in the uncommon.
Sometimes, Heaven’s demands on us are weighty and somehow, you feel you will break under the load of such divine demands. But the word says, “This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous” (painful and killing) – 1 John 5:3. When the word says, “do good to them that hate you” it does not make sense. But you must remember that the ways of God are past finding out sometimes. He says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways.” –Isaiah 55:8.
Why don’t you just sacrifice yourself at least once, to save other people’s lives? What is this suffering for Christ we talk about most times in Sunday school? Isn’t it all about having a large heart? Try as much as possible to suffer for Christ, no matter what it will cost you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Never forget: living an uncommon life stimulates uncommon testimonies. Is your heart large?

Doyou have a large heart? -1

Hi, I'll like to share with you a little something I've learn't over the last two years of my life. Believe me its nothing that will bore you, its just some truth I discovered and I thought I shouldn't be selfish with it but it only depends on you to learn from it. Please, just do yourself good by reading till the end. Trust me you wouldn't regret that you read it instead you'll feel free inside.
Here is it.........
Do you know that God loves you so much (beyond just saying it or hearing it all the time)? Do you know why He loves you or is there any prove that He loves you...? Well, all I can say is God himself is love and was described like that in the Bible. But I sure can prove that God loves you, BIG TIME!
I am sure you have an idea of the story of Adam and Eve-If you don’t- Adam was the First man that God ever created and Eve was the first woman. They were both good friends of God, but just when everything was going on smoothly, the devil came to tempt Eve to disobey God, Eve later persuaded Adam and they both disobeyed God and God threw them out of the beautiful garden He placed them earlier to a world where they would suffer. If you don’t know the story read Genesis 1. What I want you to know about this story is that man-who have their origin in Adam and Eve - have been separated from God after the incident because of their sins. God is a merciful God and found it hard to leave us alone; He couldn’t just watch us wonder away from Him as He knew it will lead us to destruction. After thinking of what to do He resolved to give us two gifts: 1.GOD’S WORK FOR US. 2. GOD’S WORK IN US.
Funny as it sounds you can’t do without any of them (but remember they are gifts and were not forced on us by God, so we have the choice of opening the gifts). Come along as we explore these gifts (note: The second gift is wrapped in the first)......
  1. 1.    HIS WORK FOR US: Lets go back to the days in the Bible when sacrifices (burnt offerings) were offered to God. It started from the time of Cain and Abel (read Genesis) when Abel knew that Blood would be needed for the forgiveness of sins, since then sacrifices upon sacrifices had been made for atonement. But can I give you a shocker? God made the sacrifice for us Himself. He offered a sacrifice of innocent blood for the sins of all humankind so that we wouldn’t need to offer anymore (Can you see the weight of that?... you ain’t seen nothing yet, more is to come). This is the first gift of God to you and me. That’s why we Christians don’t offer sacrifices anymore. now here's the shocker...... Guess who He offered as lamb, His son (wasn’t that as good as offering himself). Jesus-God’s ONLY son-Came down from paradise-(now I’m not talking about the kind of paradise you would have ever imagined in your entire life time)-in heaven to this cruel world but if you have read any of the books of the gospels (Matthew, Mark Luke or John) you may begin to ask why He didn’t just die instead of going through all the suffering. Why did He have to carry the cross? Why did He have to be beaten and wounded by a crown of thorns? Couldn’t He have just done the main thing (to die on the cross)? Yes He could have done all of that, better still, He could have used lasers from His eyes to destroy the soldiers that were beating him (wasn't He the son of God?), but He chose to go through the pain for us, he chose to be in our shoes, to be limited by time, places and other earthly boundaries Just for us to trust him. If i wanted a rat to stop being afraid of me, will it ever hear? IT’LL RUN if you don’t know. I'm sure its Until I become small and grow a tail before it believes me, so it’ll know that I know what it feels like to be a rat and it can be rest assured that I wouldn’t try killing it. Now liken that to Jesus and us, He did not come to kill us but to carry our cross for us. That’s God’s work for us! Taking the step to pick up this gift and unwrapping it means believing in Jesus, accepting Him as your Lord and Savior.... Now here’s the part I’m going, Most of us-people-unwrap the first gift but dump the second. Not like many of us don’t know there is a second one, but impatience wouldn’t allow use open it carefully. That leads us to the second gift.
2.    God’s work in us: We seldom ignore the fact that God wants to work in us apart from the work He did for us. (remember i said the second gift is in the first)It’s like a prisoner who someone set free, even after been set free, He/she may still need some rehabilitation to become how he/she was before getting into prison, if not he/she repeats the same crime and finds him/herself back in prison. That’s what God wants to do in us ‘A CONSTANT REHABILITATION’ from the sinful nature we got from Adam and Eve. This gift is the Holy Spirit whom Jesus described as the overflowing spring of water in John 4:14. After receiving Him, this river of living flows from your heart(John 7:31-35). The heart is like a pipe stained with oil and with constant flow of water through it, the oil stains become wiped out. The gift is the gift of the Holy Spirit constantly working in us to cleanse us, refresh us and energize us for God’s work. A REHABILITATION PROCESS. Take an example of a prisoner who has been used to hard drugs, definitely he/she cannot stop at once, IT’S A PROCESS (Phil. 2;12-13). God wants to stop the sins we have been addicted to by the help of the Holy Spirit, constantly. Like water washing a pipe stained with thick oil, the constant flush of the endless water gradually wipes out the oil.  Now you know that after you give your life to Christ you still need to surrender all to Him, so that the Holy Spirit can do the work of total cleansing in you. Do not ignore the leading of the Holy Spirit in you so that He may guide you in your everyday activity so that you may become perfect as Jesus is and was on Earth. These gifts, God gave them to cover up all our sins, THIS WAS THE GREATEST COVER UP OF ALL TIME.
Amen.
If you said this prayer, thanks for accepting God's first gift, and congratulations. If you want to go further to unwrap the second, start reading your Bible and learn from it, you get a daily devotional from your pastor, it'll guide you in reading your bible. please also to go to church. Don't feel bad when you sin, just ask God for forgiveness no matter what you have done He's always there to forgive you. Please try to read ny next article on the Holy Spirit (coming soon). Would let you know when its out!

Vessels unto honour

Dear reader,
I will like you to know that this message is meant for you and not for some special people because you have been planned of God to be a vessel unto honor () and for a fact you are twice special, be blessed as you read.....

I will divide this message into two parts which are:
- The life of a vessel unto honor and
- The calling of a vessel unto honor

-The calling of a vessel unto honor: Here are the things you need to know about the calling of a vessel unto honor that you are;

  • know that you are special. You are made special for a plan and for a purpose; the Bible says that Gods plans for you are plans of good and not of evil..... No matter who you are or what you have done, you are special and God wants to do great and mighty things that will make men stunned through you.
  • Allow God to clean you. If you thinking to yourself that you are a bad person and God cannot use you, please don't think like that any more. That thought inside of you that makes you feel that you are too dirty for Gods work or that makes you to feel that you are not qualified is from the devil. Devil can make any one think that way so that we become discouraged and instead of coming to God for mercy we go back to our sinful ways. God doesn't care who others think you are or who you think you are, all he cares about is you. HE LOVES YOU. God is saying just come to me the way you are and I will make you qualifies for my work. If you think that you can leave your sinful nature first and then come to Him for his use, you are just wasting time because you cannot leave your sinful ways all by your own power. Allow Him to do the work of cleansing in you.(Matthew 20:25-28).
  • Be a vessel. Allow yourself to be available for Gods work. God doesn't force people to get His work done, you have to make yourself available for Gods work.
  • Every thing about a vessel unto honor is for the master's use. All that you do is for God. Being a vessel unto honor means that you are going 100% for God. Why do you need to go 100% for God?  this is a question you are most likely to ask and the truth is that, without God, in all that you achieve in life there will still be an emptiness in you except you have Him. Now, going 100% for God means 100% fulfillment. If you go all for God you will be 100% fulfilled.(I Corinthians 1:29-31). This means you are used by God to bless others.
-The life of a vessel unto honor: The life of a vessel unto honor is like this;
  • A vessel unto honor stays in the hands of the master. Here's just one of the millions of "benefits" - i would call it- of a vessel unto honor. This person that has decided to be as a vessel unto honor can now boast of safety in the masters hand because God does will wish that His vessel should be in trouble.
  • A vessel unto honor is always available. This means that a vessel unto honor must be diligent. When you work you work for God and no one has to see you working. It is God you are accountable to because He called you and it is in Him that you find your reward Not man.
  • A vessel unto honor will be used by opportunists but will not get bitter. As a vessel unto honor, people will try to frustrate you, but knowing fully wall that you do this for God and not for them, you don't have to pay attention to such distractions.
  • Vessel unto honor serve with all of their heart, all of their might and with their strength. no part must be left out. Serving with your strength has to be accompanied with the service of you heart so as to make you service useful to God an bring rewards.
  • Vessels unto honor sometimes will be jeered by critics but will not get discouraged. People may see everything stupid and wrong in what you do but as long as you know what you are doing is from God, hold on to His word.
  • Vessels unto honor complete others and do not compete with others. A vessel unto honor will always think of others first. He makes sure that others benefit from any good before himself. This is not to say that a vessel unto honor must not advance in life. take this for a thought - "PEOPLE DON'T CARE HOW MUCH YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE".
  • Vessels unto honor will be cheered by fans but do not get proud. when vessels unto honor begin to fulfill purpose and people begin to see the great things that they do they tend to be praised, but real vessels unto honor who will last till the end will not allow the praises of people to get into their head.
  • Vessels unto honor know that being alone comes with a package. They cannot do what "just anybody" is doing. There are times vessels unto honor are in a world of their own because of what they stand for- the truth-, but those are tough times. TOUGH TIMES DON'T LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO.
  • Vessels unto honor shines as light unto honor. Matthew 5:16. Effect the positive change around you. When you have a situation in front of you, handle it just the way you want God to.
  • Vessels unto honor do not seek praise reward or honor. They are selfless people.
  • Vessels unto honor know that they have a daily blank check from God. John 15:7-16.
GOD BLESS YOU
